Tencent Hy4 reads images and charts, and per Tencent it can operate a computer
Tencent's new flagship model takes images as input for the first time and handles up to 1,048,576 tokens per request. Standard pricing is $0.90 per million input tokens and $2.70 per million output tokens.
Tencent released Hy4 on November 4, 2026. It replaces Hy4 Preview as Tencent's flagship model. Tencent says a cheaper variant, Hy4 Flash, is coming soon.
What's new in Hy4
Image input. Hy4 reads images, including charts, alongside text, and replies in text. Vision is new in this release.
Computer use, per Tencent. Tencent says Hy4 can operate a computer through both the command line and graphical interfaces.
Adjustable reasoning. Reasoning can be switched off or set to low or high effort. High is the default.
Tools and structured output. Hy4 can call tools and return output in a fixed format.
Hy4 does not take audio or video as input.
Context and output limits
Hy4 accepts up to 1,048,576 tokens in a single request, enough to send long contracts, report packs or codebases at once. It can write up to 65,536 tokens in a single response.

Tencent is also offering 50% off Hy4 on Tencent Cloud TokenHub through December 31, 2026. Standard prices apply after that date, so they are the figures to plan budgets around.
Where it runs today
Hy4 runs on Tencent Cloud through TokenHub, and on OpenRouter, where Tencent is the only host. Tencent also uses it inside its own products, including WorkBuddy, CodeBuddy and Yuanbao.
Tencent says the model weights and system cards will follow "in the coming days." As of November 4, 2026, they have not been published, and the final license terms have not been confirmed.
What we know about quality
No independent scores exist yet. Artificial Analysis and LMArena have not published results for Hy4. Every figure below comes from Tencent's own testing.
Finance. Tencent ran a blind evaluation with Tencent Financial Technology, in which 213 finance professionals graded 579 tasks. Hy4 scored 3.04. The test compared open models only. Closed models were not included.
Office work. In WorkBuddy, Tencent's own office product, Tencent reports an average score of 83.18 and a 96.15% pass rate across 12 scenarios. These results cover the mainland China market.
Accuracy. Tencent reports that Hy4's hallucination rate fell from 12.95% in Hy4 Preview to 7.2%, on Tencent's internal tests.
These are Tencent's own tests, built around Tencent's products and, in the office case, the mainland China market. They cannot be compared directly with public leaderboards.
